skiing at Mammoth Lakes

Located in the beautiful Eastern Sierra, the city of Bishop is a major recreation hot spot. From fishing to skiing, it’s a mecca for lovers of the great outdoors, who can’t help falling under its magic spell every time they visit. Here are two great ways to immerse yourself if the area’s natural splendors…

1. Ski at Mammoth Lakes
Why ski for two days, when you can take advantage of President’s Day Weekend and enjoy three days of slope-side action?

Falling on February 16 – 18, 2018, President’s Day provides the perfect opportunity for ski lovers at Mammoth Mountain Ski Area, one of North America's finest ski regions, which lies just an hour from Bishop.

Mammoth Mountain has an impressive snowfall record of more than 400 inches annually, providing Alpine skiing, snowboarding, and Nordic run for all ability levels. Mix in our 300 days of sunshine a year and you have a great blend of powder skiing with bluebird days. Even before you take your first run, the panoramic views on a clear day from the top of the mountain make the whole trip worthwhile.

And if you’re there with the kids, check out Woolly’s Parade at 3:45 pm on Saturday, February 17. Woolly and friends from Ski and Snowboard School get together to enjoy an afternoon of music, dancing and face painting, followed by a parade through The Village at Mammoth.
