Staff Favourites

  • Bishop Creek Falls

"My favorite hike is the hike to Bishop Creek Falls. It is a short 20 minute drive from the Creekside Inn but a world away! It’s an easy hike with spectacular views of the waterfall. Added bonus: North Lake Falls, Goldmine Falls, Schoebers Falls, and South Fork of Bishop Creek Falls are nearby." - Becky

  • Laws Railroad Museum

"One of my favorite places to go to hang out, explore, and have a family day is the Laws Railroad Museum. It reminds me of the joy of my youth and makes me feel like a kid again. Seeing a child's joy while getting to use some of the interactive attractions (like pulling the horn on the train and exploring the train cars and the miniature train set) is worth the trip." - Fredi

  • Ancient Bristlecone Pine Forest

"The Ancient Bristlecone Pine Forest is one of my favorite places in the Eastern Sierras. It is located above Big Pine, just a 15-minute drive South of Bishop. The smell reminds me of Christmas, and the views are spectacular." - Michele

  • South Lake Fishing

"I have gone fishing up in South Lake and it is absolutely beautiful. It seems like the fish are always biting. My favorite place to eat is the bowling alley. I was worried I would not be able to find good chicken wings, but my worries were washed away the moment I ate there." - Grae
